Asian Young Artists Art Festival (ASYAAF) is the largest exhibition of art by young artists in Korea showcasing works by 500 up-and-coming talents from across the country. Already in its 17th edition, the fair takes place every August and provides graduates with a venue for presenting their ideas and perspectives. The participating artists are selected by a 60-member jury of professors, curators, critics, and gallery representatives. The minimum price is around 3,000 USD ASYAAF is hosted by Chosun Ilbo, one of the largest media groups in Korea which owns newspapers, magazines, online media outlets, advertising spaces and more.
Seoul International Buddhism Expo (BEXPO) and the 12th Buddha Art Fair took place on 4-7 April 2024 at the Seoul Trade Exhibition and Convention Center under the theme "Fun Biddhism". The organisers placed a special focus on bridging the gap between the tradition and the MZ generations. The opening event was called "Dhamma Talk" - a generational empathy talk-concert featuring electronic dance music, chants and a lecture. BEXPO 2024 recorded a fourfold increase in pre-registrations and a threefold increase in onsite visits compared to last year. Web traffic to the event's homepage increased by 30 times.
The Seoul International Sculpture Festa is Korea's largest sculpture exhibition and a venue for international cultural exchange. This year, the show celebrates the 15th anniversary of cultural exchange between the Chinese Society of Sculpture and the Korean Sculptors Association. As part of the commemoration, a large number of Chinese artists is participating adding to the total of over 300 exhibited sculptors.
Buddha Art Fair is the annual art fair of the Buddhist Order of Korea. It took place between 30 March 2023 and 2 April 2023 and spotlit works from artists working with various mediums and techniques. For many centuries, Buddhism has been the dominant spiritual tradition in most parts of Asia, including Korea, and has had a a strong influence on the countries' cultural, artistic and intellectual lives.
